Issues & Opportunities Register
NZDA believes Government must:
Recognise the fundamental importance of oral health to all New Zealanders, and include it as one of the country’s general health policy priorities.
Create policies that support the wider dental workforce to deliver services in an operating environment that is both sustainable and equitable.
Tangibly improve access to oral health care for New Zealanders.
NZDA will be advocating strongly to encourage Government to progressively implement the Roadmap, including policies that will achieve the above.
But many voices make for lighter work – and we encourage all NZDA members, and those interested in better, fair oral health care for New Zealanders, to join us.
Which is why we are pleased to introduce the Roadmap Issues & Opportunities Register, a platform for you to share your stories, experiences, and concerns about the oral health issues you see in your practice.
Your input and feedback – and patient case studies, if you can – will benefit our advocacy and media opportunities greatly. They will bring the Roadmap to life and give real meaning to the statistics and data that underline just how poor oral health is for many New Zealanders.
Please note, that while we will endeavour to consider all your stories and issues to develop a big-picture view, we cannot guarantee that every issue or case study you supply will be included or used in our advocacy programme. To protect patient rights, we have provided several tick boxes that you must complete when submitting to this portal.
Your privacy is important to us. The information you provide in the Issues & Opportunities Register will be collected and used for the purpose of gaining a comprehensive understanding of the current environment, issues, and opportunities within our sector.
All submissions will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. We may use aggregated data for media releases, advocacy initiatives, or to inform our strategic advocacy. However, individual stories and specific details will not be shared publicly without your explicit consent.
We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. By submitting your information, you consent to your data being used as described above. If you have any questions or concerns about how your information will be used, please contact us.
